Asante Kotoko grabed a late win against Ebusua Dwarfs on Sunday in the Glo Premier League to better their chances of a successful title defence.

The Porcupine Warriors won 2-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium but it took a late goal to boost kotoko all three points against a 10-man Dwarfs side.

Dwarfs scoring first through Bright Lukman in the 19th minute from a freekick before Abdul Aziz equalised for Kotoko in the 36th minute.

In the second period, Dwarfs had a man sent off as defender Kingsley Nteng was dismissed with 14 minutes remaining.

But the game heading for a draw, Kwabena Adusei struck the match winner from a freekick.

The win sees Kotoko reduce the gap at the top to two points as they lie in third position.
