          Ex Ghana Defender Samuel Osei Kuffour Apointed Onto New Kotoko Board   Former Ghana defender Samuel  Osei Kufour has been named in the new eight-man board of  Kumasi Asante Kotoko, reports indicates.   The former Bayern Munich star is joined by legal practitioner Paul Adu Gyamfi, Ambassador Kabral Blay-Amihere and Frank Appiagyei.   Business tycoon Nana Ekuoba Kwadwo Gyasi (chairman of Nana K. Gyasi Co. Ltd), Jude Arthur (CEO of First Atlantic Bank), Dua Adonten and Nana Kusi II (Ankobeahene) are the other members on the new board.   The appointment of the new Kotoko board was confirmed in a statement from Manhyia signed by Chief of Staff Kofi Badu.   The board are to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to run the day-to-day affairs of the Premier League champions.   One representative each from the National Circles Council and the Association of Old Kotoko players...

How renowned writer and senior journalist Kwabena Yeboah wept bitterly for over 20 minutes in the studios of Angel 96.1 fm today when the events and memorabilia that characterised the 1983 African cup final between Asante Kotoko and Ahly was revisited.          Medeama  Dismantles  Kotoko to win FA Cup... Medeama defeated league champions, Asante Kotoko by a lone goal to win the 2013 FA Cup Competition at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday. Both sides sold out a good game with several scoring chances, but missed target with Kotoko's Rasnford Osei and the winner's Tanko Mohamed as worse culprits. Osei could have put Kotoko on top in the 22nd minute only to fire wide from a close range, whilst Mohamed was late in reaching a well executed cross by Augustine Sefa in the 36th minute. Medeama however made amends late in the first half when Theophilus Anobah fired into the roof of the net after Sefa’s cross found him unmarked in the vital area of Kotoko. The Glo Premier League winner will be decided on the final day of the season after both Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea won their matches today.     Asante Kotoko Fires Back On Top Of Glo Premier League Story : Ray Charles Kumasi Asante Kotoko are back on top of the Glo Premier League table after a late goal to defeat Heart of Lions 2-1 on Wednesday action in Kpando. The must win battle saw Kofi Nti Boakye of Kotoko scoring after 24 minutes in the game but Kweku Andoh equalising for Kpando Hearts of Lions. Kotoko were two points adrift joint-top Chelsea before kick-off but the slip by the Berekum side, who could only draw away with Arsenal in Dormaa allowed the Porcupine Warriors to leapfrog them to the summit. Kotoko's Seidu Bancey scored in injury time when the  game appeared to be heading for a draw  to stun the Kpando team . The win was soo  crucial for the Porcupine Warriors in their quest for a successful title defence with the season left with two more games to go.
