Sad Event : And Kwabena Yeboah Wept For Kotoko .. I guess many of you might have heard it ? But I still have goose bumps recollecting the scene. How renowned writer and senior journalist Kwabena Yeboah wept bitterly for over 20 minutes in the studios of Angel 96.1 fm today when the events and memorabilia that characterised the 1983 African cup final between Asante Kotoko and Ahly was revisited. The writer who travelled with the team throughout their campaign that glorious years was listening with keen interest, a recorded tape of Joe Carr, the goalkeeping hero of the team. As Carr narrated how the team fought heart out to secured a goalless draw in Cairo, the playing body having a meeting in mid air on their flight back planning on how to undo the Egyptians in the return encounter and the determination and commitment of the entire staff to win the trophy for Asanteman.
