“Osey”- Nero X explains why he sounds like Castro.

Winner of the Born Starz reality show hosted by Viasat 1 TV, Nero X is out with a single track called “Osey”. The singer chooses the Gospel lane this time around to give thanks to the Creator. However, the tone of the singer is raising lots of controversies as to why he copied the voice of disappeared Castro.

In a visit to Kumasi, Nero X was excited to explain his reasons for sounding like Castro on Weekend Smash, one of the vibrant entertainment programs in kumasi. Below are excerpts of the interview granted on Metro 94.1 Fm.

DJ Premier- Nero X welcome to the studios of Metro Fm.

Nero X- Thanks for having me and i am grateful to be on this show.

DJ Premier- Are you a Gospel artiste?

Nero X- I am not a Gospel musician, in fact i am a secular musician.

DJ Premier- Are you aware you sound like Castro?

Nero X- “Well Nero X is a Fante from Takoradi. People say the tone of my song “Osey” sounds like Castro’s but i say its due to the language barrier i employed in writing the song. Because i am an upcoming artiste, i have to learn from the gurus in the game. I stayed with Castro for a while so i took him as my mentor.
Considering the trend of my song, anybody with a music ear will know the difference between my voice and Castro’s voice. My voice is exceptional.”

TV Stations have already played this new song numerous times. “Osey” has also enjoyed massive airplay in several other regions with the song topping charts.
