Snoop Dogg Could Face Lawsuit Over Homophobic Slurs On Instagram
Cyber bully and once great rapper Snoop Dogg could face legal consequences for his Instagram activity, including posting a photo of someone who’s suffered abuse as a result.
On January 3, Snoop posted a photo of a Maryland caregiver
named Cortez Booze along with the caption “Whose auntcle is this?”
Almost immediately, Booze’s account was inundated with hate mail and
slurs — “faggot,” “confused” and “shemale” were among the most used:
Booze told TMZ
he’s tried to have the photo reported and taken down but Instagram has
been less than willing to work with him. Now he tells the tabloid he’s
planning on hiring a lawyer to sue Snoop in court.
And this isn’t the first time Snoop has come under fire for inspiring hate on social media. In September, he was criticized for
posting a photo of a gay couple with a caption that included “fag,”
and even posted the caption “Whose auntcle is this?” once before with a
photo of another unsuspecting person.
Snoop, as expected, has not offered comment on the current
situation. However, he responded to controversy earlier this year by
saying “I don’t have a problem with gay people. I got some gay homies.”
