Confirmed: Joe Laka, Striker and Jeff Booted Out Of Angel 96.1 Sports

Not speculation anymore, the Guys have been Sacked.

Ray Charles Kick Show   Can confidently report Dr. Kwaku  Oteng, Chief Executive Officer of the Angel Group of  Companies, comprising Radio station Angel  96.1 has booted out  its sports host Joe Laka , the  two colleagues  Jeff and Striker.

The sacking follows allegations of signing a contact with Silver FM in Kumasi owned by Mr. Sylvester Asare Owusu of SilverCrest investment Ltd.

As the industry players will agree with me, Commercial music radio is centered on the station 'brand', of which the 'presenter' is not a part. Dumping the presenter off and replacing him causes no ripples whatsoever.  Listeners just don't notice or care.

In contrast, talking radio program like "Angel sports" requires the listeners to make a connection with the Sports presenters. It's not about the music (there isn't any), but about what the sports presenters say and how it is being said. 

The personality of the voice the audience is listening to is what they are listening to.  It's what they welcome into their lives.  It's the reason they are listening.

So, one will agree with me throwing Joe Laka , Striker and Jeff off air without a chance to say goodbye is cruel and disrespectful to the listeners.

You were in a dilemma thinking they will come back; well they are no more with Angel 96.1 sports.

Angel Fm Sports presenter Bright Kankam Boadu married his long time lover today I November 2014. The happy couple stopped outside the Catholic to take pictures with their guests, and were later seen arriving at the Royal Golf Park-Ahodwo for their reception. we wish them happy marriage.
