R2Bees Deserves Highlife Song of the Year : Kwame Adinkra
story : Ray CharlesLuther King Adinkra widely known as Kwame Adinkra , a radio personality and a highlife dude has congratulated the R2Bees guys for clinching the highlife song of the year with their Odo tune.
The Tema-based music duo, R2Bees is a Ghanaian hip-hop/hiplife group made up of Faisal Hakeem (Paedae da Pralem) and Rashid Mugeez (Mugeez).
On the early hours of Sunday, R2Bees were crowned Highlife Artiste of the Year at the 2013 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The event held at the Accra International Conference Centre saw performances from kontihene, VIP, Kwaw Kese, Sarkodie , Wizkid and the likes....
R2Bees album full of hits tunes crossing over into the Nigerian border and beyound saw two collabos with Wizkid – “Dance” & “Slow Down”.
Ace Kumasi radio presenter cum high life musician, Kwame Adinkra with porpular highlife songs like Mmoatiahene , Pi Pi , Afrakoma and Aboagyewaa said the Odo track was composed with an international touch with the natural highlife feel accepted by all.
The "Apotitimati " man , is full of joy the Ghanaian musician is gradually seeing the need to infuse our highlife touch to the current trend of music moving beyound the borders of Ghana. The Odo track is danceball by all said Kwame Adinkra.
