
Stoke City Appoint Mark Hughes The Premier League side announced on Thursday morning that the former Fulham, Manchester City, Queens Park Rangers and Blackburn Rovers manager will replace Tony Pulis, who left the Potters last week. The 49-year-old has been out of work since he was sacked by QPR in November. Stoke chairman Peter Coates admitted the club needed a fresh direction following Pulis' departure and sees Hughes as the man to implement a more attractive style of football.
