The Real Reason Papa Nico Left Fox 97.9 FM
It is no longer news that former Fox FM presenter, Prince Adu Asare has quit his job.
But the reason why he left the radio station he had worked for years is less savory than Nico openly admitted.
Ray Charles Marfo can reveal that the relationship between Prince Adu Asare and head of sports at Fox FM, Rockson Agyei Yeboah went sour a few months before the former host of Fox sports (Papa Nico) dropped his resignation paper.
Sources within Fox Fm said Rockson Agyei Yeboah was unhappy with Papa Nico over an undisclosed disagreement, and therefore “punished him” by sometimes refusing to address him as a member of the sports crew.
Further investigations reveled that, Rockson Agyei Yeboah wrote to management and demanded the sacking of Papa Nico because he can’t be in the same boat with him.
Papa Nico in an interview with Ray Charles said he quit his job because it was time to move on.
“Almost four years, I needed greater challenges and not routine that was getting boring for me.”
Papa Nico gave a hint about the disagreeable nature of his exit and why he may not want to make the reason public.
“Sometimes silence is golden; some other time silence could mean a lot more.” He said he would be challenged about the future and not the past.
Papa Nico will be concentrating on his pastoral ministry now. “I want to continue my pastoral ministry”.
I have sent a message to Rockson which he is yet to tell me
his side of the story but for now this is what I have for you.
