Owabi Damn polluted with filth

Most people in the world get their water from rivers and lakes, including the vast majority of the world’s poorest people.

But half of the world’s 500 most important rivers – water sources for hundreds of millions of people – are being seriously depleted or polluted.

Water shortages will likely be a fact of life for most people on the planet within the next ten years. We can’t afford to pollute and destroy our drinking water sources. But that’s exactly what we’re doing – often without knowing it.

We are facing dirtier, unsafe water and more risk of water shortages and scarcity. This crisis is real, it’s happening now and it’s getting worse fast.
As humans, are we happy?

Ain't you ashamed seeing the Owabi Damn, our source of drinking water covered with trash?

Ain't you sad seeing the Owabi Damm in it's current state?

Why are we doing this to ourselves as a country?

The Owabi dam, property of the Government of Ghana, was established in 1938 by the British colonial power to supply water to the people of Kumasi and its environs but currently the facility produce below its capacity.

Who are we to blame? Shame on us as a country.

Swift action is needed to stop these activities before it degenerates into a national security concern. I am so so ashamed this morning.
