Asantehene’s Alleged Bribery Scandal: Free Press Editor Denies Publication ... The Editor at the center of the Asantehene’s alleged bribery scandal, Emma Lawson, has vehemently denied the publication attributed to the newspaper.  Emma Lawson says the New Free Press has no idea where the story originated from. According to her, the said publication was based on an anonymous website sourcing her organization as the author. She added that since the story hit the newsstand, her office has been flooded by some security intelligence personnel, tasked with investigating the publication. The New Free Press online recently published that the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, allegedly brokered a bribery deal between President Mahama and two of the nine Justices that sat on the 2012 election petition case. The publication triggered Chiefs at Manyhia in the Ashanti Region to lodge a formal complaint with the National Media Commission (NMC) to haul the editor and publisher of the Free Press

D.J Eleven Eleven Assaulted : Macho Men Storm Kessben 93.3 fm  SOME SUSPECTED goons on Monday evening stormed the premises of  Kessben FM  in Kumasi in a brutal fashion, severely injuring a staff of the station. Oduro Kwarteng aka ‘Eleven Eleven’ was at the station’s reception when two muscularly built men stormed there around 9:30pm.                 Man Kills Nephew For Rituals (PHOTO) A Togolese involved in illegal gold mining at Wassa-Manhyia in the Amenfi Central District in the Western Region has been busted by the police for allegedly beheading his 15-year-old nephew for ritual purposes. The suspect, Godfred Petit Silevi, 22, was said to have committed the crime together with another Togolese, Samuel Kwami Silevi, alias Hammer Boy, who is currently on the run. They committed the crime in the early hours of yesterday with the intention of using the head of the deceased, Wofa Atitso, a student, for ritual purposes to raise GH¢2,000 in order to travel abroad. According to the police in Sekondi, Godfred, who initially denied conspiring to murder and murdering his nephew, later burst into tears and confessed to the crime.
