Victoria Beckham named the UK’s most successful entrepreneur - she’s worth £210m
Victoria Beckham has been named the UK’s most successful
entrepreneur. The artist formerly known as Posh Spice has turned over £30m in
the last 12 months, along with creating lots of jobs, racking up loads of sales
and generally being worth quite a lot of dosh.
"It
is her finely tuned business acumen that wins her the top spot," said
Philip Beresford, who compiled the list for business magazine Management Today.
We’ll be honest, that’s not a publication we thought we’d ever be quoting on heatworld.
Since
opening her first store in London’s Mayfair five years ago, VB’s business has
gone from turning over £1m to £30m, and her staff has rocketed from three
people to one hundred. Good, huh?
Just as a
little Monday nostalgia, here’s what Victoria Beckham was wearing about ten
years ago. Just drink that in. Drink it in. And remember, someone who dressed
in some leopard skin and a curtain offcut with snakeskin pockets is now heading
up a massive fashion firm, and is the UK’s most successful entrepreneur.

beat off - no, not like that - Auden McKenzie and Mahmud Kamani, the man behind
online fashion retailer Boohoo.com, which is worth £290m.
